GKN is enabling a global audience to keep up with the action across Formula Student 2016 at Silverstone this week by livestreaming the event.
The livestream is available via www.gknformulastudent.com and YouTube from 2pm on Thursday 14 July, and will be broadcast from 10am to 6pm until Sunday 17 July.
GKN has a long running relationship with Formula Student, dating back to 1997, and is hosting a stand at the event again this year.
As well as the livestream, there are a number of events to enable GKN to engage with students, including a ’20 minute make off’ competition involving automotive construction kits and a series of ‘Ted Talks’ from senior GKN engineers.
In addition, a Ford Focus RS, featuring GKN’s innovative all-wheel drive system, is on the stand, demonstrating GKN’s technology leadership.
Sarah Humpidge, GKN Group Graduate Development Manager, said: “Formula Student is a great event for GKN as it enables us to engage with students from across Europe who are interested in engineering and automotive. They are able to learn more about GKN, our technologies and the opportunities that may be available to them.”
She added: “This year’s event is set to be the biggest yet and GKN will be at the centre of it with our livestream. This will enable not only the teams at Silverstone to watch the action as it happens, but their university friends and family as well.”
